Sponsorship and accommodation guidance for a Schengen visa
Exactly what your host or sponsor must provide, and how their papers line up with yours — because sponsored applications come apart where the two accounts disagree.
Who this is for
Anyone whose trip is paid for or hosted by someone else: a family member in Europe, a friend, an employer, a parent or an adult child.
What we need from you
- Who is sponsoring you, where they live, and what they are covering
- Your relationship to them, and how it can be evidenced
- What they have already been asked for, if anything
What you get
- A list of what the sponsor provides, in the form the consulate expects
- Guidance on accommodation evidence, invitations and host declarations
- A check that the sponsor's papers and yours describe the same trip, the same dates and the same arrangement
One per sponsor arrangement.
Common questions
They can upload to your case, or you can pass their documents on. Either way we only ever work with genuine papers the sponsor has actually issued or holds.
We can explain what it needs to contain and how it should sit with the rest of the file. The host writes and signs their own declaration — it is their statement, not ours.
